Detailed Responsibilities as Western African Financial Consultant 1. Organisational performance: a) Developing key performance matrix indicators to assist management in the assessment of income and expenses. b) Provide relevant information, analysis and reporting to support management decision making. c) Keep the CEO and Senior Controller informed of work progress, highlighting potential problems and making suggestions for improvement. d) Communicate regularly with colleagues in order to maximise the effectiveness and efficiency of interdepartmental operations and activities. e) Evaluate the present risk management procedures and contribute to their improvement (e.g. ad hoc investigations, assessment of control procedures and related risks, recommendations). f) Support and procedural direction to senior staff with respect to the Finance Department’s daily operations, including direct supervision. g)Technical support to other departments relating to financial matters. g) Ensuring i) That the accounting staffs comply with established accounting and internal procedures. ii) Accuracy and reliability of accounting data and the traceability of the accounting records of the organisation. 2. Standard costing: a) Reviewing and assessing the present standard costing system of the sister companies based in neighboring countries, so as to implement improvements as necessary. b) Implement, on a monthly basis, a departmental variance analysis report for the sister Companies. c) Organise regular meetings with Management to review operational costs. d) In collaboration with the Production Department and other operational departments participate in the preparation of the annual and monthly Flow Report which will be used for cost analysis. 3.Budgets: a) Preparation of Annual Budgets and Revised Budgets, in line with standard costing model and with detailed analysis of cost allocation, trends, resource availability, exhibits, supplementary schedules, etc. b) Prepare and submit a budget pack for each head of department. c) Participate in special projects as assigned by management, such as budget performance measurements, budget document overhaul, cost allocation plan updates. d) Assist in the preparation of business plans, financial strategies, project feasibilities and any other financial projects when required by Management. e) Prepare financial presentations with the help of graphs, charts, reports and power point presentations. 4. Information technology: Participate in the management of IT, helping to bring about the necessary structural changes in line with company expansion, and carefully evaluate all outsourcing in this field. Implementation & Training on Pastel Evolution overseas for Sister Company. Setting up of Database Micorsoft SQL . 5. Purchasing: Manage purchasing in collaboration with the purchasing officer/s in order to optimize purchasing in the different Group companies and ensure that materials and services are paid at optimum prices. 6. Treasury: a) Assist in the preparation of the Annual Cash Flow and the Revised Version during the year. More Details
